Why Women Won Lecture by Nobel laureate Claudia Goldin

The event has already taken place

Why did so many victories for the American women’s movement occur during a few years in the 1960s and 1970s? What lessons can we draw from that era in US history today?

In December, Claudia Goldin, Henry Lee Professor of Economics at Harvard University, will be in Stockholm to receive the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel. On this occasion, she will deliver a lecture on the topic “Why Women Won” at the Economy Museum.

Erika Lanner, Director of the Nobel Prize Museum, will extend a warm welcome. Following Claudia Goldin’s lecture, there will be a Q&A session moderated by Professor Maria Stanfors.

The program is organized by: Economy Museum, Nobel Prize Museum, Stockholm University, Swedish Women’s Lobby, FemEk – Economic Think Tank of the Swedish Women’s Movement, Swedish Economic Association and Ownershift.

  • A limited number of free tickets are available here from December 5, at 9:00 AM.
