Would you like to learn how to tell if a banknote is genuine? Visit our open workshop, where an experienced detective will guide you step by step through how to examine banknotes and uncover counterfeits.
Here you can try it yourself, ask questions, and discover the tiny details that distinguish a real note from a fake. It’s an exciting chance to test your eye for detail and become a banknote expert for a moment! With the help of a magnifier and UV light, you’ll spot all the hidden features embedded in our banknotes. Discover the small details that make it difficult for criminals to forge money.
Opening hours
The workshop is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00–12:30 and 13:30–16:00.
During the Christmas holidays, the workshop is open every day the museum is open, see the list of dates further down.
