Easter Holiday at the Economy Museum

Enjoy Easter holiday at the Economy Museum 3–12 April! Hunt for golden eggs, discover fascinating treasures, and learn more about the secrets of banknotes. Please note that the acitvities are conducted in Swedish and that the museum will be closed on Easter Saturday.

Free admission for children up to 19 years of age.

Egg hunt

No Easter would be complete without eggs! During the Easter holiday, we have hidden golden eggs in the exhibition MONEY! Each egg is decorated with a letter. Can you find all the eggs and solve the secret word? If you succeed, you can collect a small prize at the ticket desk.

Self-guided activity. Instructions are available at the ticket desk.

The secrets of banknotes

Discover the hidden details in our banknotes! Using magnifying tools and UV light, we’ll uncover tiny patterns and concealed images—and you’ll get to design your own banknote.

Times: 12.00–12.30 and 15.15–15.45 in the museum workshop. Please ask for directions at the ticket desk and note that the museum is closed on Easter Saturday.

Magical treasures

Join a guided tour for families (in Swedish) where we take a look at three different treasures. Why were they hidden, and how were they discovered? You will, among other things, see parts of Sweden’s largest treasures, try lifting the world’s largest coin, and handle a real coin that has rested on the sea floor.

Time: 13.45–14.15 (the museum is closed on Easter Saturday)

Can I bring a stroller into the museum?

Strollers are allowed in most areas of the museum, except for the Gold Room at the Swedish History Museum due to evacuation routes.

A designated stroller parking area is available in the entrance hall, but the museum is not responsible for parked strollers. A limited number of pushchairs are available to borrow – just ask at the information desk!

To the right of the entrance stairs, there is an elevator to the main floor. The door has an automatic opening function via a push button, and the elevator is monitored by security cameras.

During holidays, school breaks, and the summer season, we kindly ask you to park your stroller outside the entrance. There is a cable in the courtyard where you can lock it securely.

Can I bring my own food?

We have a large and welcoming lunchroom. There, you'll have access to running water and a microwave. If the weather allows, you are also welcome to eat outside in our courtyard.

Is there a baby changing room?

The baby changing rooms are located in the accessible toilets on all floors.
