Before your visit

Here you will find practical information that may be useful to know before your visit to The Economy Museum.

Where can I store my bag?

You’ll find lockers in the cloakroom. Smaller bags can be brought inside. If you need to store a larger suitcase, you can borrow a key at the information desk for one of the bigger storage compartments in the cloakroom.

Can I bring my own food?

We have a large and welcoming lunchroom. There, you’ll have access to running water and a microwave. If the weather allows, you are also welcome to eat outside in our courtyard.

Can I bring a stroller into the museum?

Strollers are allowed in most areas of the museum, except for the Gold Room at the Swedish History Museum due to evacuation routes. A designated stroller parking area is available in the entrance hall, but the museum is not responsible for parked strollers. A limited number of pushchairs are available to borrow – just ask at the information desk!

To the right of the entrance stairs, there is an elevator to the main floor. The door has an automatic opening function via a push button, and the elevator is monitored by security cameras.

During holidays, school breaks, and the summer season, we kindly ask you to park your stroller outside the entrance. There is a cable in the courtyard where you can lock it securely.

Where are the toilets?

Toilets are available in the cloakroom on the ground floor, downstairs in the food area, and at the Baroque Hall on level 1.

Is there a baby changing room?

The baby changing rooms are located in the accessible toilets on all floors.

Accessibility

The Economy Museum aims to be a museum for everyone. We constantly work to improve our premises to make it easy to visit us. All public areas are wheelchair accessible, and you can also borrow a wheelchair on-site at the museum.
