Earlier exhibitions

We are building permanent exhibitions about Sweden's economic history, planned to open Spring 2024. Here you can read more about our previous exhibitions.

The first time that the museum's coins and medals were shown publicly in Sweden was in connection with the national antiquarian Bror Emil Hildebrand opened an exhibition in 1846 in Ridderstolpska huset on Skeppsbron. Subsequently, the museum's exhibitions have been located at the National Museum (1866–1940), in the same building as the Historical Museum (1940–1996), at Slottsbacken 6 (1996-2017) and from Sutumn 2020 the exhibitions are again located on Narvavägen in the same building as the Swedish History Museum.
